“When we say someone has good intuition…we are saying he has a very good mental model of the way people feel and behave. It is a mistake to assume that intuition or judgment must always be unscientific, less reliable than some sort of test. The intuition of one who has had wide experience and really learned from it is more reliable and scientific than anything else we could find. It takes into account thousands of subtle factors we could never build into a controlled situation or a test.”
